How do you handle a digimon that apparently is a complete idiot and lacks any sense when it comes to self-preservation?

I see. Well, I've had to fight Wily and his bots to keep the world safe several times over. It's not something I enjoy, but it's for peace. This normally places us at opposite sides.

Wily planted bombs within his own robots, setting off one as a demonstration and using another as a hostage so he could be released from prison. There were other things too, but I'd rather not go into them.

Well there has been instances of partners splitting up, but I'm pretty sure they all get back together again. And don't think of it as being stuck with him; think of it as getting a new interesting teammate. You both can learn a lot from each other!

And you can't expect him to trust you when you wouldn't trust what he told you. To get trust you need to give it.

He has done nothing to Hard Man and he won't. There are lots of others around and we all look out for each other. You don't have to come to our side, but we would protect you from Wily if you did. And you wouldn't be a traitor, Top Man. Not really. He is not your Wily. He is a different person. I can't say what your Wily would say to this, but do you think he'd be happy with all of you following another him?

Hard isn't as pathetic as I am. He can protect himself. I couldn't even stop Quick from hurting both of us. And even if it isn't my Wily, Shadow chose to follow him. Shouldn't that count for something? I can't see Shadow doing something that would upset Wily.

If you're worried about getting into a fight, he can't bother you over the comms. It'd be talking only.

I know. But you were pretty good. And that's why you've got to fight him differently then you would someone slower. And maybe he's worried about contacting you the same way you're worried about contacting him?

I don't think someone with DATS is going to hunt you down when you haven't done anything wrong. Especially if all you're trying to do is talk. Think about it, at least.

I may not, but it's true and I want to. And maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Either way he has his reasons for not contacting you. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't.

... Thank you. And I guess you're right. It might be worth it to try contacting him. As long as I can do it without Shadow ever hearing about it. He didn't want me to ask him any questions about what happened with Hard. Talking to Hard is certainly beyond asking about it.

It is a possibility, but I doubt it. If he hasn't noticed your arrive himself, someone else would have notified him. Unless you've been locking everything, that is.

You're welcome. And I don't know about that. Shadow said not to ask him about what happened. But he didn't say not to ask others, right? So it would be okay. You may want to lock it from him anyway, but I don't see why he should expect you not to contact one of your own linemates.

Good point. And if law enforcement has had problems with the others already here, they're probably watching for newly arrived Wilybots. I didn't really know enough to lock things before, and the one post was an accident.

... Trust me. I know how Shadow is. He told me I didn't need to know anything else about it. So it's not okay. And why wouldn't the expect me to not contact someone working in law enforcement?
